“THE BEST PHOTOJOURNALISM SPEAKS FOR THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE A VOICE.”
It’s that time of year again. Summer is slowly coming to an end and a week from now, some of the worlds best photojournalists will gather in the French town of Perpignan, to take part in the most prestigious event for photojournalism: VISA POUR L’IMAGE, the 22nd International Festival of Photojournalism.
The professional week starts August 30th to September 5th. Photographers will be able to show their portfolios to press agencies and collectives from around the world (Accreditation is required)
The festival runs for two weeks and is open to the public. There are loads of exhibitions around town, showcasing some of the best photo stories of the year. But my favorite events are the open air evening screenings held in the medieval Campo Santo, especially after a nice French dinner
So if you’re a professional photographer or just someone who appreciates photography, Perpignan is definitely the place to be from August 28th to September 12th.
See you there!
